How Many Mannequins a Small Boutique Needs

Published 30 August 2026 · 4 min read

Buy one or two forms and dress them. Six mannequins in 40 sqm is a warehouse of poses, not a shop.

How many mannequins a small boutique needs: one story from the door, maybe a second in the window — not a crowd that steals the walk. Independent retailers in Thailand order six forms because a lookbook has six. The shops that convert buy one or two, dress them, and leave floor for customers.

Realistic vs abstract is the form language. This page is count and placement. Window fixtures is the glass. Layout still wants decompression empty.

What a form is for

A mannequin is a campaign, not capacity. It holds an outfit you change. It does not hold the size run. The size run is hangrail — face-out vs shoulder-out.

From the door: one form or a table, not both fighting. What a 40 sqm boutique needs.

In the window: one, sometimes two. A crowd is a warehouse in the glass.

On the floor: zero more unless you have walk left after the wrap queue — cash wrap. A form beside a four-way is two stories. Pick one.

Kids’ forms at kids’ height if kids are the shop — kids heights. Adult forms in a kids’ bay are a costume.

Pop-ups: zero or one — pop-up checklist. The kit is already dense.

We do not publish form prices or pose catalogues as a ranking. Finish and whether a base is included belong on the quotation. Materials for the base vs a dusty Thai floor.

Common mistakes

  • Six forms in 40 sqm.
  • Form in decompression.
  • Naked forms as décor.
  • Forms instead of a fitting-room mirrormirrors. The customer still needs a room.

What belongs on the quotation

  1. Count: usually one or two.
  2. Abstract vs realistic — named.
  3. Base, height, finish.
  4. Where each sits vs door and window.
  5. Language of the document, Thai or English.

Send shop type and whether the window is the story. That is enough to specify a form instead of a crowd.

One outfit on a form, the rest on the rail

If you are fitting a boutique in Thailand, start with one mannequin. Send the shop type, the size, and the opening month through the fixture plan form. We will return one fixture schedule and one written quotation — Thai or English — covering the form, the wall, and the walk.

Common questions

Do I need a mannequin if I have faceouts?
A form is still useful as the door story. Faceouts are not a person. Do not buy six of either.
How many in the window?
One, sometimes two. A crowd blocks the interior sightline and reads as leftover stock.
Can a mannequin sit in the first two metres?
After decompression, as the sightline story. Not as a barrier in the door swing.
Naked mannequins as décor?
They read as unfinished merchandising. Dress the form or skip it.
