Ceiling-hung vs floor fixtures in a Thai shop is landlord height and remaining walk, not a lookbook of hanging rails. Independent retailers order a ceiling hang because it photographs as a boutique. In a mall with a low bulkhead, the same rail clips the door and the fire route.

What each is for
Floor fixtures. Tables, four-ways, two-ways, gondolas, cash wrap. Their load lives on the slab. You can move them when the season changes — seasonal reset — if casters lock. They still eat millimetres of walk. Put remaining aisle on the quotation.
Ceiling-hung. Hangrail, banners, hanging slat, a single form over a table. Their load lives on the structure the landlord will or will not allow. They free floor — until the drop hits a head, a door swing, or a sprinkler. We do not invent a clearance in millimetres. Put height, fixing method, and the landlord letter on the quotation.
Wall hangrail is neither ceiling nor island. Outriggers project from the wall — outriggers. Do not call a projecting arm a ceiling system.
Signage may hang. A lightbox on a ceiling rail is still a communication line, not merchandising of the size run. Window: hanging in the glass is an ad, not inventory.
Mall common-area rules often ban anything from the ceiling in the unit opening. Street shops may have no structure worth hanging from. Measure before you order a hanging forest.

Layout: decompression is empty. A hanging rail in the first two metres is still in the door.
