Sock and Underwear Wall Fixtures for Small Shops

Published 30 August 2026 · 4 min read

Underwear on garment hangrail reads as leftover stock. Peg or a lipped shelf, tickets on every facing.

Sock and underwear wall fixtures for small shops are peg or shelf density with labels — not a fashion hangrail as the hero. Independent retailers in Thailand hang packs on garment rail because the wall already has a hangrail. The shops that still walk keep counted packs on peg or a lipped shelf and put the size run in a labelled bay.

Pegboard is the counted-pack wall. Slatwall accessories are the family if the perimeter is slat. Price tickets still come first. Underwear is not a t-shirt story — t-shirts want a graphic; socks want a pack you can count.

What the wall is for

A sock SKU is a pack. An underwear SKU is a size and a colour. Neither wants a shoulder-out hangrail. A hangrail of underwear reads as leftover stock and eats the walk.

Peg or grid for blister and hanging packs. Hook length specified so packs do not occupy the aisle — aisle width. Gridwall baskets for loose pairs only if they are labelled. A dump bin is clearance, not the underwear wall — dump bins.

Lipped shelf for boxed underwear and stacked packs. Depth matches the SKU — slatwall shelf depth. No grocery-deep bay in 40 sqm.

One sample height if you must show a pair. The rest stays in the pack. Scarf wall is the sibling discipline: one drape, colourways folded.

Do not mix the sock wall with the fashion hangrail in the same groove run without a specified split. The customer cannot find a size when tees and packs share one rail.

Kids heights if the shop sells children’s socks: the child reaches the sample, the adult paying reaches the pack. Do not split the difference.

Impulse at the wrap is one tray of last-minute packs, not a second underwear wall on the packing surface.

Common mistakes

  • Underwear on garment hangrail.
  • Unlabelled peg forest.
  • Dump bin as the sock department.
  • Packs in the first two metreslayout.

What belongs on the quotation

  1. Peg vs shelf vs both — named per bay.
  2. Hook length and remaining walk.
  3. Ticket or label method.
  4. Split vs the fashion hangrail on the same wall.
  5. Language of the document, Thai or English.

Send shop type and whether socks are packs or loose pairs. That is enough to specify a counted wall instead of a hangrail of leftovers.

Packs on peg, boxes on a shelf

If you are fitting a small apparel or gift shop in Thailand that sells socks and underwear, start with peg or a lipped shelf. Send the shop type, the size, and the opening month through the fixture plan form. We will return one fixture schedule and one written quotation — Thai or English — covering the sock wall, the tickets, and the walk.

Common questions

Can underwear hang on the same rail as shirts?
Specify a split. A mixed hangrail hides sizes and looks like leftover stock.
Peg or shelf for sock packs?
Hanging packs on peg. Boxed packs on a lipped shelf. Name the pack type on the quotation.
Is a dump bin the sock wall?
No. A bin is clearance. The sock wall is labelled density.
Do sock walls still need price tickets?
Yes. Unpriced packs are not merchandising. Tickets belong on the quotation.
