A plant shop fixture checklist for independent retailers is wet work versus dry pots — a wrap that packs, not a fashion hangrail. Independent shops in Thailand hang plants from slatwall because the boutique next door used grooves. The shops that still walk keep water off MDF and put ceramic on a lipped shelf with tickets.
Florist is the wet sibling. Gift shop is dry labelled density. Humidity is sealed edges, not a warranty. Landlord may own wet-waste rules. We do not invent a drain spec.
What belongs on the floor
Wet / watering. A wipe-down bench, water away from grooves. Not open water on MDF slatwall.
Dry pots and tools. Lipped shelf or peg, labelled — pegboard, slatwall shelf depth, price tickets.
Wrap that packs. Bags, leftover width, queue for two with a pot — cash wrap, queue space. Impulse is a small tray of seed packs, not a second plant forest on the till — impulse.
One table if leftover floor exists — display tables vs walls. Plants in the first two metres are still in the door — layout. Aisle width after pots on the floor.
Window: one story, heat and leftover stock if you dump the section in the glass. Ceiling hang only with a letter.
Opening priority: wrap and wet bench before campaign hang.

Wet off the dry wall
